Poirot (also known as Agatha Christie's Poirot) is a British mystery drama television programme based on the eponymous detective of Agatha Christie's fictional Hercule Poirot.
Now I know to some this is an absolute classic but the other day I came across an individual who not only had never seen Poirot but had never even heard of Agatha Christie. Poirot has been one of my favourite television series since I was very young, so I have added this beloved show to the compendium.
Below is one of my favourite episodes S03E01 - The Mysterious Affair at Styles. The episode is akin to a flashback, set in a Cotswolds country house amid the First World War, we see the first case of the combined sleuthing of Captain Hastings and Poirot. Captain Hastings is staying with friends when wealthy heiress Mrs Inglethorp is murdered. He calls in Hercule Poirot to help him solve the baffling crime, which has the whole household under suspicion.
